Blockering av webbsidor som innehåller barnpornografi låter ju som en bra idé. Tyvärr är det sannolikt inte särskilt effektivt mot barnpornogafin och risken att annat material blockeras är stor. Läs Brokeps berättelse om hur domänregistreraren GoDaddy anmälde kopimi.com till spärrlistan. Intressant är också polisens agerande:
Complaints has been received from the public where they pointed out that child porn material is available on the website http://www.kopimi.com/.
Our judgement, according to general legal principles, was that the pictures on the site was of a character of child porn. With this as a reason the site was blocked.
After taking part of your opinions we discussed the issue with the office of the public prosecutor whereas another judgement was made.
We have therefor immediately decided to remove the block of the site
OK, så polisen blockerar helt enkelt sidor och först om någon klagar diskuterar de med åklagaren? Låter ju jättebra för att trygga yttrandefriheten…
(Sedan kan man ju i och för sig tycka att det hade varit enkelt för kopimi.com att undvika hela den här historien genom att inte använda, tillsynes irrelevanta, bilder av ett naket barn på sidan.)

Angående din parentes där – Varför ska man behöva välja bort något man själv tycker är relevant och underhållande för att blidka andra med andra tankar…?
Självklart ska man inte behöva det. Men det hade ju varit enkelt. Men bilderna kanske är mer relevanta än jag förstod? Jag måste erkänna att jag inte är en regelbunden besökare av kopimi.com.
Skippa yttrandefriheten för enkelhetens skull? Nja, så enkelt tycker jag nog inte att vi ska göra det =)
Iaf, relevans finns, och även om det inte framgår direkt på sidan så framgår det väl av brokeps bloggtext:
“Kopimi has it’s own dance – the Copy Me-dance – and on the frontpage of the site, the son of the creator (let’s not call him Jesus, but his name is Ikko Kopimi in fact) dances this dance”
Does anybody ever think that the police is actually trying to protect the abuse and the depictions of children being abused, or are you too preoccupied with your own freedom?
