First Monday Special Issue #2: Open Source was published today.
A new book titled In the Public Interest: The Future of Canadian Copyright Law has been released online under a CC license. The book is edited by Michael Geist, and contains 19 peer reviewed essays, each by a different expert and each analyzing a different issue addressed by the Canadian Bill C-60.
I have not read a word of it but it has been mentioned on the CC blog and by Lawrence Lessig so I guess it’s good.
As Mia hinted on the CC blog, they have a somewhat unusual implementation of a CC license.
They have made it a clickwrap license! The full “Legal Code” is shown and you have to tick a box to indicate your acceptance of the terms before your are allowed to download the PDFs . . .
